Fans looking forward to Maks hosting MVM Veszprem in Strumica
На гостувањето на Веспрем во Струмица најмногу се радуваат навивачите
In their first season in SEHA Gazprom league Maks Strumica did not achieve any remarkable result. They are currently on the bottom of the table, and there are no illusions or false hopes for the penultimate duel versus MVM Veszprem in front of their home audience tomorrow (20,15 hrs.).
Although Hungarian team will just 24 hours after derby in Skopje, travel to Strumica to a duel with the current Macedonian vice-champion, no one doubts that it will be another unequal match. This time hosts hope not to be as weak as in the beginning of February when Veszprem beat Maks Strumica with 50-16.
For Maks Strumica now this strong game in SEHA Gazprom league should be preparation for competition in the national championship where they will also have a difficult task. The young team of Maks Strumica is inexperienced for such competitions and in this match spectators are the happiest side as they will have a chance to watch European vice champion, current winner of SEHA league and one of the best European teams at the moment.
Xavi Sabaté, MVM Veszprem' coach:
This will be our second game within almost 24 hours, and it is always difficult. Despite of this fact we will try to bring our best performance as always. Maks Strumica is a young team, I am sure they want to show what they are capable of. They will be very motivated trying to play best they bringing out 100% of them. So we must fight hard also giving the maximum respect to our opponent like always.
Gergő Iváncsik, MVM Veszprem' player:
I am sure, there will not be such a big difference between the two team as it was in Veszprém last time. Obviously our team will be tired because this will be our second game within two days. We would like to win against them again, of course, but we must take care and avoid injuries. It is not so pleasant to play in consecutive days but we will try to handle it like a kind of preparation for final fours of Hungarian Cup, SEHA League and hopefully Champions League.
Vanco Trendafilov, Maks Strumica' coach:
We play against one of the most prominent clubs in Europe, and I think they’re one of the best teams in Europe with excellent players such as Alilovic, Ilic, Palmarson, Rodriguez. We've trained, worked as much as possible, and we will resist them for sure, but Veszprem is absolute favorite against us. We are preparing not only for Veszprem, but also for the domestic championship, and will give a chance to young players to prove themselves.
Krste Kosteski, Maks Strumica' player:
We are eager to show our better shape, our best performance and hopefully the difference will not be as big as last time. The support from the stands will certainly be needed and will give us great confidence not only for this but also for next games.
