Last training for Vardar and Meshkov before SEHA F4 semis
Последняя тренировка «Вардара» и БГК перед F4 SEHA-лиги
After both teams completed their duties in the 1/8 finals of EHF Champions League, Vardar and Meshkov will this weekend be fully dedicated to SEHA Gazprom F4 tournament which will be held in Varazdin from April 1-3.
But before teams travel to Varazdin they will play the last match of the regular part of the season, a match that was previously postponed. Tomorrow's game (18.00 pm - local time) will be the last "practice" for both teams.
They do not play against each other in the semifinals of SEHA F4 tournament, but there is the opportunity for them to meet in final or 3rd place match meaning that this duel will be used for preparation, and without real competitive character.
Vardar will be without Filip Lazarov who has broken his finger and on the other side Atman might end sidelined for the match due to injury. Meshkov is the only team this season to celebrate in Skopje (28-27), and now the Macedonian team will want to make up for lost points even though triumph would not change a thing on Leagues table.
Sergey Bebeshko, Meshkov' coach:
Every game is important because of our fans. We've lost last two games and therefore we are preparing seriously for this match. Main task is to return to the victory atmosphere. Will try to win against the team that is among Top-8 in Europe. Pavel Atman will probably miss the game because of an injury, but we hope that Ljubo Vukic will be in squad after period of rehabilitation.
Simon Razgor, Meshkov' player:
We`re playing against one of the strongest European teams. Certainly we are going to win in this match as we are planning to travel on SEHA Gazprom League Final 4 in good mood
Raul Gonzalez, Vardar' coach:
The game against Brest is our last before the Final 4 tournament in Varazdin. It comes just a few days after a very tough weekend and our hard working victory against Wisla Plock and situation was similar for Meshkov against Kielce. We've qualified for the next round, but they couldn’t manage it. Perhaps this is good opportunity for both teams to prepare for SEHA League semifinals, because we have to play our games on Friday. We do expect good game, without big pressure.
Dejan Manaskov, Vardar' player:
After two really tough weekends im EHF Champions League, this is a game that we can play a little bit more relaxed. It doesn’t mean that we don’t feel an obligation to play well, because no matter what the result is, both teams already know their next opponents for Final four. I believe that the atmosphere will be great as always in Brest and spectators will enjoy a good game between the two teams that will compete for the crown in SEHA League.
