FINAL 4: Presenting No.3 PPD Zagreb
Zagreb have, compared with the last season, made a big step forward speaking of placement. They have also showed a very good level of form through the whole season. They were beaten by Veszprem twice, once in clashes against Vardar and Tatran which sounds quite good.
Veselin Vujović has managed to create a team which has despite of all injuries succeeded in catching a good place in SEHA Gazprom League and Champions League where they have with position 5 after the group stage managed to reach the next phase and even quarter-finals after the victory against Rhein Neckar Löwen.
Defence with Tonči Valčić and big reinforcement Velko Markoski was leading the team. Stevanović did a great work by Ivić and players like Pavlović, Vujić, Šušnja and Kontrec have finally presented their full potential... Zagreb have in only a year managed to build a team able to compete with the strongest teams. Biggest problem was Stepančić' injury and it is really bad we will not see him and Mandalinić play at the same time. By that, they also have bronze quartet from EURO in Poland - Horvat, Kovačević, Stevanović and Šebetić.
