Ahead of F4: Heroes can get tired sometimes

Telekom Veszprem

After two invincible seasons, two-time champions Telekom Veszprem have this season shifted in lower gear. To be more precise, playing on three tough battlefields slowed them down a bit so it was expected for both SEHA and CL to suffer. However, they are here and as always - exceptionally dangerous, number one favourites. This season they failed to gather as much as 10 points with two of both draws and losses. Losses in Skopje against Vardar and in Varazdin versus Zagreb, draws once again against Vardar but this time at home and in Nasice which was their biggest low-point of this SEHA season. Third season - third F4.

In Champions League, considering whole situation, they’ve managed to meet expectations reaching third place behind Barcelona and PSG. What is also important is that Hungary played a big role on WCh reaching quarter-finals which obviously turned out to be an additional load for home-stars.

Worst things are however behind them and now it’s time to prove what they are really made of. Gasper Marguc is having a brilliant season with everyone else occasionally grabbing a chance to share the spotlight with gifted Slovenian. Telekom Veszprem will try to defend SEHA title in Brest and in clash against PPD Zagreb in CL they will look to catch another ticket to Cologne. Not as confident as before but still a tough opponent for anyone. Javier Sabate’ decision was to stick with last season’s basics which means rock-strong defense remains their high note. It all begins and ends there…

The relationship between fans and the team is intimate. We always try to do our best to deliver for them and that way thank for the 60-minute, or even longer, cheering. I see this love as a perfect bond between us because they are always here for us, through thick and thin.
