Two „full" months for Meshkov
Belarus Meshkov Brest will have 30 hard days due to fact that team has to play seven games in SEHA GSS league, starting on Saturday (19,00 local time) versus Nexe in front of home supporters.
They will after that play Tatran, Vojvodina, Partizan , Vardar, Borac and Lovcen .To stay in race for F4 place, Meshkov must win on first game versus Nexe, and not to repeat situation from past when team was defeated by Tatran and Vardar in Brest. Currently Meshkov has 6 points from four games, as all teams have already completed at least 8 rounds. Now every point is important.
After numerous problems with injuries, Meshkov's coach Zeljko Babic can finally have a whole team available, with the exception of Nerijus Atajevas who will pause a few months more because of problems with the Achilles tendon.
- The situation in the team is good, all players are healthy and will play with complete team versus Nexe. We have had a good series and our form is rising, said Babic .
Belarus team had a poor start to the season, in SEHA GSS League and domestic championship, but their form is improving.
- The victory against SKA Minsk was very important for many reasons. We have showed that we are a good team and I am happy with how things are going, said Croatian coach.
Zeljko Babic knows well team of Nexe, whether guest have many younger players this season and a new coach. Croatian vice champion showed that on away games they know to play and produce uncertain games.
- I expect a tough game with Nexe. I know rival very well and I believe we will be well prepared tactically. Nexe is a team that runs 60 minutes, plays aggressive zone 5-1 and 4-2 , there are two excellent shooter from back positions, and have fast runners from the right wing. To win we have to play solid defense in the middle and quickly return back in defence. I think we are currently in better shape than Nexe and that why we are favorites , says Babic .
Mrdjenovic and Kruzic have returned in team fromNašice, but on injury list remains Albin Eter, and because of a broken hand will probably be absent until the end of the month.
