PPD Zagreb have lifted their 29th Croatian league trophy on Wednesday evening. In the last round of the second part of the season they were better than their biggest rivals Nexe Nasice with 22:19. Captain David Mandic and Aleks Vlah led hosts offensively in this one scoring five each, while Todor Jandric grabbed 11 saves.

'Lions' have managed to finish the season with nothing but victories coming out on top against Nexe Nasice twice. Two teams might face off once again in less than a week in the Cup final in case PPD Zagreb manage to defeat Dubrava in the Semi-Final and Nexe come out victorious versus Sesvete – team which managed to stun them in the league match about two weeks ago.

PPD Zagreb have in that way managed to prolong their dominance in a great way, making a clear statement they will, especially once all the summer reinforcements arrive, be a tough opponent for everyone on the way to SEHA - Gazprom League Final 4 trophy.
