Transfer season didn’t go unnoticed in Motor Zaporozhye either, as the team from Ukraine has significant roster changes as well. There are some familiar players coming back to SEHA – Gazprom League, so let’s start with today’s transfer review.
 
We could say that one of the most familiar faces who we will be watching playing SEHA again, is Luka Sebetic, who is coming from Tremblay to Motor Zaporozhye. After four years spent in France, Sebetic is moving to Ukraine, which means that he will replace Tremblay’s fight to stay in the first French league with participation in the EHF Champions League with Motor. This right back was in the SEHA – Gazprom League from season 2011/2012 up until 2016/2017 and he was playing for PPD Zagreb. In his time with the Lions, he has scored 199 goals in 78 appearances and has been a part of six SEHA Final 4 tournaments. Most memorable tournament with Croatian national team was 2016 European Men's Handball Championship in Poland where Sebetic won bronze medal wearing the national team jersey.
 
From C’Chartres Metropole, Denis Vasilev is transferring to Motor Zaporozhye. This line player was in Dinamo Strkhan from 2010 until 2017, and then transferred to Chekhovskie Medvedi where he spent his time until season 2019/2020. In season 2019/2020 with the Russian team, Vasilev played in EHF Champions League where he scored 23 goals in 10 appearances. Regarding European competitions, he played EHF Cup with Dinamo Strkhan. During his time in France, in season 2020/2021 he played in the Lidl Starligue where he scored 70 goals in 29 matches and showed what he is capable of.
 
Another player coming from France is Jonas Truchanovicius. He will keep Sebetic company, just on the opposite side, as Truchanovicius’s position is left back. Coming from Montpellier where he scored 149 goals in five seasons, won EHF Champions League in 2018 and became the first Lithuanian player who made that happen. That is why he was proclaimed Lithuanian Male Handball Player of the Year in 2020. He also played for HC Dragunas Klaipeda from 2010 until 2015, and Union Leoben in 2015.
 
Motor also signed centre back Aleksandr Tilte who will transfer from KS SPR Chrobry Glogow where he spent one season. He also spent time in ZTR Zaporozhye from 2014 until 2020. Tilte is also an Ukrainian national team player.
 
On the other hand, Motor Zaporozhye is saying goodbye to their right back Milos Orbovic, who will continue his handball journey in Kriens Luzern. Orbovic already played in the SEHA – Gazprom League in season 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 with Vojvodina. In his time with the team from Novi Sad, Orbovic has 37 appearances in which he scored 122 goals. With Motor, Orbovic played in the EHF Champions League season 2020/2021 where he scored 33 goals.
 
All in all, there are a lot of changes in Motor Zaporozhye roster ahead of the SEHA – Gazprom League Quarter-Final matches and we are eager to see the new reinforcements in action.
