New Balkan reinforcements for Meshkov
Talented left hand back player from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dejan Malinovic (21), and experienced line player from Serbia, Rastko Stojkovic (32) will be a major boost for MeshkovBrest for the rest of the season in SEHA GSS league. Malinovic has signed two and a half years contract, and Stojkovic will stay in Brest for next one and a half season.
Meshkov wants to stay in race for a place on SEHA GSS league's Final Four and to be more competitive in domesticchampionship in matches against SKA Minsk or Dinamo Minsk. With these two players coach Zeljko Babic will have stronger bench and bigger choice on each position. Belarus team is currently fifth on the SEHA GSS league table, with 18 points from 10 matches.
Malinovic spent only six months in Slovenian team, Maribor. He is certainly a great talent, but somehow he did not fit in club, so management decided to accept the offer of a wealthy Meshkov and sell it early in Belarus. On same position team from Brest already has Robert Markotic and Oleg Astrashapkin.
Much bigger star is line player Rastko Stojkovic. He played for Polish champion Vive Targi Kielce in the last three seasons. After he left Poland, at the beginning of the season, he decided to play for Red Star Belgrade without salary, just to keep his form for the next possible transfer. Then offer came from Qatar Al Rayan but Stojkovic's decision fell on Meshkov Brest which on his position already has Viacheslau Shumak, Domagoj Srsen, Aliaksei Ushal.
