Metalurg has showed excellent handball despite numerous injuries in the team. Home team was better in the first half constantly keeping the score of 2-3 goals difference. Macedonian vice-champion began the second half superbly with 5-1 series which led them to 18:13 lead in 37.minute.

Although Renato Vugrinec played just for 40 minutes, he was the best scorer of the game with six goals, and Filip Mirkulovski scored five goals. Goalkeeper Darko Stanic had 15 saves. For the guest team, lineplayer Renato Sulic scored four goals and goalkeeper Mirko Alilovic had seven saves.

Spaniard Raul Gonzalez Gutierrez had a successful debut on Vardar's bench as a coach, after "red-black"  beat MKB Veszprem 30-28. The first half was played mostly in equal, and in 25 minutes  Vardar lead 13-10. Guests fought back and Nemanja Pribak scored in the last second for 15-14.
