Tatran harder than expected in Banja Luka
Tatran tek u drugom poluvremenu slomio Borac
First obstacle in Tatran's way towards Novi Sad was in Banja Luka and was passed good. Tatran has managed to beat Borac but home team has proved that they are a very good opponent, especially at home, in front of their home crowd. Slovak team has managed to break the opponent late in the second half when Borac's players were starting to get tired. Crowd was again outstanding in Borik but it did not help the home team in the end to catch guests.
Peter Hatalcik, Tatran's coach:
- We've started the match in a bad way and Borac has managed to use it very well with help from their home crowd. As the end was getting closer, we were starting to play better and taking control of the match. Our counter attacks and good defense were working great in the end and that was key for the win today. I have to say Borac was playing great today.
Zarko Pejovic, Tatran's player:
- It's always hard ot play Borac in Banja Luka. They were in the match until we've started to play our game. We have to be more serious in the next few matches in order to avoid Vardar and Zagreb although Meshkov is a great team too.
Jani Cop, Borac's coach:
- Guest team's fast tempo has decided the match. We were playing without a training and with big problems in club. My players have showed great anticipation today and I respect that.
Mirko Mikic, Borac's player:
- We were so close to surprising Tatran here today and that's what makes me sad. We could have played better in the end but we didn't and lost the match. We miss trainings and I hope club will solve its problems. I'd like to thank our great fans once again.
In the next rounf Tatran will host Metalurga and Borac will play Vardar, again at home.
