Over 3,500 fans in SPENS hall during SEHA GSS F4’s second day
The second day of SEHA GAZPROM South Stream League F4 tournament in Novi Sad has brought a new handball experience for over 3.500 fans in SPENS hall. Serbian teams Partizan and Vojvodina have fought in Play-Offs for the domestic title. Home team Vojvodina was in the end better with 26:22 (12:10).
Miroslav Kocic was outstanding with 16 saves, Elezovic and Stankovic have scored 6.
- We’ve made a real handball spectacle here, great match - said Vojvodina’s coach Djordje Cirkovic who was visibly happy with the atmosphere this match was played in.
In the first match of the Day 2, new generation of Serbian and Croatian handball (U-18) has showed that these countries do not have to worry much about their future. Croatian team was led by outstanding performance of goalkeeper Spikic, who had 17 saves. Ivkovic scored 6 goals for the winners, while Stojanovic was Serbian top scorer with 5 goals. Croatia won with 28:27 (14:11). Both teams will play at the EURO 2014 U18 in Poland next August.
Two matches on Saturday were just a "warm-up" for the final day of the SEHA GAZPROM South Stream League in which region will get a new champion. Who will be that team? Vardar or Meshkov?
