Double crowns for CO Zagreb and Borac, Vojvodina new Serbian champions
Championships in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia are over and that means that another season is behind SEHA GSS League participants. Their upcoming challenge will be SEHA GSS League's inspections which will decide about next season's participants.
CO Zagreb has once again, managed to win the Croatian championship. This was their 23rd title in 23 years. In the last round they were better than Karlovac and have managed to enlarge the goal gap between their follow-ups NEXE from Našice. In the end: 1. CO Zagreb, 2. NEXE, 3. Varaždin, 4. Dubrava ...
Vojvodina has on the other side managed to defend Serbian title. In the last round they were better than Red Star which has brought them new title ahead of Radnički from Kragujevac. They have the same amount of points in the end but the team from Novi Sad has better score from matches between those two opponents. Metaloplastika is third in the end and this season's SEHA GSS participant Partizan - sixth. In addition to that, Železničar from Niš has celebrated in Serbian Cup kicking Vojvodina out of the competition in semi-final with narrow 30:29 and beating Red Star in final with 30:26.
Situation is similar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Borac Banja Luka are once again crowned as national champions. In the last round they were better than Čelik in Zenica with 30:27 which has brought them the title due to better score against their follow-ups - Konjuh from Živinice. Cup winners - also Borac. On Cup finals in Ljubuški they were in semi-final better than Konjuh with 27:23 and in final they have managed to beat home-team Izviđač, 25:23. Mario Blažević was once again outstanding in final with 18 saves, Bezbradica added 8, Nikolić 7 goals.
Meshkov are also double crown winners this season. In Cup final they were better than their rivals SKA Minsk with 29:23 and Špiler's 7 goals.
In the end, championship is also over in countries from which are clubs that might join the League next season. In Slovenia Celje PL have finished the season with a double crown, ahead of Gorenje in championship and SVIŠ in Cup. In Hungary double-crown winners are Veszprem, both times ahead of their rivals PICK Szeged.
