Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus and Macedonia on WC in Qatar 2015!
Four out of seven current SEHA GSS League's participants have managed to catch WC's final tournament in Qatar, in January 2015.
Biggest surprise of European Play-offs is surely Bosnia and Herzegovina. They have, after narrow win in Sarajevo (33:32) managed to keep the positive result in Reykjavik with a draw (29:29) against Iceland and qualify among the best. This will be their first WC, and their current coach, Dragan Marković, was Borac' first coach in regional League. Best player was Nikola Prce from potential new League's participant PICK Szeged along with Meshkov's Ivan Karačić with 6 goals.
Macedonians have on the other side fought their way to Qatar much easier with a clear 35:23 win in Boris Trajkovski hall over Greece after +2 from the first round in Athens. Dejan Manaskov, Goce Georgievski and Nemanja Pribak were were Macedonian best scorers of the match with 4 goals each.
Belarus was in Minsk better than Montenegro with 30:24 which was after -1 from the first match enough to start packing their bags for Qatar. Dzianis Rutenka scored 6 for Belarus and Milan Popovic scored 3 for Montenegro.
Croatia will also be on WC because of the fourth place from EC in Denmark on the beginning of the year.
Serbia did not succeed in their battle for WC. Czech Republic was in the second match better with +12 (33:21) which meant that they have caught great Serbian advantage of +8 from the first match. Rastko Stojković from Meshkov scored 2 for Serbia.
Serbia, Montenegro and Slovakia will not be in Qatar, speaking of SEHA GSS League's current national teams.
Speaking of future League's reinforcements, Slovenia has managed to beat Hungary and knock them out of the competition. After 25:22 for Hungarians from Veszprem Slovenia was outstanding in Velenje with 32:26. Celje PL's Luka Žvižej scored 3 for Slovenians, Laszlo Nagy on the other side, from Veszprem, 7 for Hungarians.
Group stage draw for WC in Qatar will be held in Doha, on 20th of July.
