Sergey Bebeshko: ‘We have to be careful against Strumica!’
Сергей БЕБЕШКО: Отнестись серьезно к игре против «Струмицы»
For both teams - Meshkov Brest and Maks Strumica, tomorrow’s game in SEHA Gazprom league will be the first official game in 2016. Home team is absolute favorite in this game, especially due to the fact that Maks Strumica have barely managed to keep the club ‘alive’ after serious financial problems. With new club’ management and many youngsters in the team, Macedonian vice-champion will try to go through the second part of the season and survive.
With EURO being less than a week behind us Bebeshko will now have whole roster on disposal and can start building form for upcoming challenges. Strumica have on the other side had about two weeks of preparations with several players leaving the club and some youngsters joining the senior team. New coach is Vančo Trefandilov and he will surely do best he can to make Maks use this part of the season in the best possible way, gain experience and prepare for domestic challenges.
Sergey Bebeshko, Meshkov’ coach:
It is our first official game in 2016. Rivals have so far managed to catch only two points and are at the bottom of the table. We have to use this match to start preparing for future challenges. Macedonians will surely come here to fight and show that they are a good team after we’ve managed to beat them with 20 goal difference in our first duel. We have to be serious, especially knowing that we’ll have to play without Atman has a flu and Tioumentsev who is still recovering from an elbow injury.
Dainis Kristopans, Meshkov’ player:
After a long break it’s time for official matches. This month we will play only
one match at home, against Strumica and of course we’d like to show our best
performance for fans.
Vančo Trefandilov, Maks Strumica’ coach:
We have experienced certain roster changes but we’re ready to go to Belarus and
clash against one of SEHA’s best teams. Our goal is to show our best
performance although we’re aware of our rival’ strength. Guys were training
well, we’re prepared great and ready to play Meshkov. We also have some new
players in our roster, youngsters, who will surely have a chance to show what
they can.
Zlatko Vezenkovski, Maks Strumica’ player:
We have experienced major roster changes but we’ll surely do our best to fight Meshkov
which is a much better team. They have many Belarus national team players in
their roster. We will do our best and I hope for our youngsters to play well
and brave against favored host. We have an amazing atmosphere in the team and
we’re ready to grow some self-confidence and do better in regional league.
