Groups for the EHFCL season 2023/24 revealed
Two weeks after the Truckscout24 EHF FINAL4 have been played, yesterday Vienna hosted the Group Phase draw. The road to Cologne for 2024 starts on Wednesday, 13 September with the official start of the men’s EHFCL new, 31st season. The final tournament is scheduled for 8/9 June 2024.
The playing system is the same as in the past three seasons. Teams are divided into two groups of eight, with the top-six ranked teams qualifying for the knockout phase. After 15 rounds, group winners and runners-up from each group will be heading directly into the quarter-finals, and the teams ranked third through sixth will advance to the play-offs. The two worst-ranked clubs will be eliminated from the competition.
Telekom Veszprem, HC Zagreb and Eurofarm Pelister will participate in the new season.
