With losses against Veszprem and Vardar already behind them in the second part of the season NEXE have suffered third defeat in a row. Meshkov have in SEHA Gazprom League's final match in Našice managed to reach a victory. It was an interesting match with hosts opening it better but Meshkov have managed to wake up in the middle of the first half creating an advantage they did not lose until the end. NEXE were close with less than 15 minutes left to play reaching -2 but unfortunately for their fans that was as far as they could go today with Meshkov deciding the match mostly due to their experienced line player Stojković who has finished the match with 5 goals. Kristopans and Shylovich have scored 6 each and on the other side Nuić scored 5 for hosts.

My opinion is that the match was really good. We respect Meshkov and we were aware that in case we wish to play a competitive match we must play at our maximum for all 60 minutes. We've tried that today and succeeded in some plans but it was not enough.

First of all congatulations to Meshkov and also congratulations to my team for fighting until the end. Meshkov have had the advantage, but we were there to provide worthy resistance.

Sergej Bebeshko, Meshkov' head coach:

We knew it will be difficult because NEXE have some excellent players. We did not start well but later on we were playing much better. In the second half they've even managed to reach -2 but then we've focused our game on our pivot enlarging the gap again.

NEXE've proved that they are playing very good, modern handball. We were not able to play as fast as we wanted to today. We've later used their suspension minutes to enlarge the gap and reach new victory.
