MESHKOV BREST: Team that is growing from season to season
Last year Meshkov Brest have presented pure dominance in Belarus. They have had
their debut appearance in Champions League where they have managed to reach
Last 16 phase where they were knocked out of competition by Kielce who have, later in the season, managed to go all the way to the title. However, reaching
such a far stage in the competition meant that they will play in the elite group of
CL this season, which proves Sergey Bebeshko and his team did a great job in
the year behind us.
This season they did not reinforce as much as they did in the last, but they have managed to fill important positions and we can, without a doubt, say that they are growing stronger from season to season. They have so far managed to qualify for each SEHA F4 but they are still dreaming of the crown.
Team is stronger than in the last season. An important player from the last season has decided to move on- right winger Baranau, but considering the fact that they have managed to sign Serbian winger Rajko Prodanović and that Dzianis Rutenka is coming back after his injury, implies that they will be much stronger on that position than in the last season. Kamyshyk' accident before the season represents a problem to the team but they will try to compensate it by signing Ukranian Vladislav Ostroushko and Iman Jamali from Kristianstad. They have young player Jaschenko available as well.
Team got much stronger between the posts with Montenegrian Rade Mijatovic joining Pesic - Charapenka duo, while on the left wing they will from this season, except Vukic and Razgor, have young Belarus national team player Alexey Jurinok.
Everything else will remain the same - strong pivot lineup with Stojkovic, Babichev and Shumak, world-class playmakers Nikulenkau, Tioumentsev and Atman as well as last season's perfect right back duo Shylovich and Kristopans.
One thing is sure - this is a team that's ready to achieve big things.
