GORENJE: Brumen, Toskic and Mitrovic for the rookie season
Gorenje Velenje are Slovenian vice-champions and a team that reaches decent
successes in Europe in the past few years. Club which is creating players but also
struggling to keep them with three of their best players from the last few
seasons Stas Skube and Mario Sostaric deciding to go to Szeged this summer
along with Polish player Michal Szyba who will look for a new step in his
career in Swiss Schaffhausen. That says quite much of how good the club is
organized in each segment.
Marko Sibila is the coach. He has many successes in Slovenia and they have reinforced quite well for the first season stating that 'Red hall' in Velenje will be a trouble-making court for anyone. Alem Toskic and Matjaz Brumen have arrived from Vardar, two extraordinary players with whole lot of CL experience and many matches in national team jersies of Serbia and Slovenia. Skube will on the other hand be replaced with Serbian playmaker Luka Mitrovic coming from Norway and these three players will surely have a lot to say in terms of Gorenje's goals in the rookie season.
It is also important to add that Gorenje has a good goalkeeping duo Klemen Ferlin - Rok Zaponsek as well as some quality players like Klec, Golcar, Gams, Medved and Cehte who are providing this team with continuity.
Important thing are also the fans 'Saleski grascaki' capable of makig a really good atmosphere in the hall.
