Meshkov need points to stay in F4 race
Мешковцам нужны очки, чтобы остаться в гонке за Финал четырех
Meshkov and Vardar have opened SEHA season this season and will once again meet on Saturday, this time in Brest (17.30 local time). After two defeats in officials matches this season against Vardar, home-team’s wish is to finally reach a victory and finish the first part of the season in a great manner. By that, Celje PL are currently fifth and only two points behind Belarusian champions which means they could really use this win. Vardar’s recent form goes in their favor with Macedonians suffering three defeats in last three weeks and it is obvious that players are little tired after packed first part of the season. Noticeable fact is that Meshkov are the only team which has this season managed to grab points in Skopje against ‘Red and Black’.
Sergey
Bebeshko, Meshkov coach:
We will play against League’s leaders and I can say
they are playing the best season so far in the competition. Their roster is
full of top players and their ambitions are high. This game is however very
important for us. We’ve already played them three times this season and our
wish is to beat them this time. I hope our fans will boost us and we’ll try to
do everything to win this.
Maxim Babichev, Meshkov player:
We want to finish this
year with a positive result. However, we are aware that it will not be easy. Hope our fans will help
us win this.
Raul Gonzalez,
Vardar coach:
In August we’ve
played them on tournament in Brest and we know it will be hard to win. We’re
first and have big difference between us and other teams, but we will try to
finish the year with a win. I think players will give their maximum to end this
year with a good result.
Vuko Borozan, Vardar player:
Our goal is to win
every match no matter who we play against and we’ll keep that approach in this
one as well. We know it will be harder to play them away from home than in
Skopje but we’re ready. Anyhow, I’m sure we’re capable of winning in Brest.
