Metalurg sign a Slovenian player
After the Macedonian vice-champions recorded a start of the season that was under expectations in the SEHA - Gazprom League and EHF Champions League, with only one draw in ten games, the club decided to sign a new back player. Aleksandar Spende, a 25-year-old Slovenian arrived in Skopje on the left back position. He will stay until the end of the season.
Spende (197 cm, tall) is a former youth and junior national team player of Slovenia. He started his career in Maribor and continued in Gorenje Velenje and Krka. He also has international experience with Porto from Portugal.
“I am pleased that I came to a club with a long tradition and a defined project. I think that Metalurg is the right environment for my further progress. I hope that I will be able to help the club, and I hope that performances from match to match will be better and that the season will be finished with the expected success, said Spende.
