Nexe win against Vardar after five years
Great victory for Nexe, team from Nasice won against reigning champs Vardar from Skopje. With 24:21 victory Nexe managed to level themselves with PPD Zagreb on top of the standings celebrating against Macedonians after five seasons.
Both teams have already secured a place for themselves on the final tournament which means they played without much pressure on their backs as well as without some of their key players - Sipic, Vozab and Loncar were absent for hosts while Karacic, Dissinger and Borozan remained sidelined for 'Red&Black'. Guests were controlling the encounter throughout the full course of the first opening the gap to four (9:13) right before the half led by Kristopans.
Vardar were able to stay in front in the second half as well all the way until Jaganjac netted one for 20:20. Same player later brought hosts their first lead of the game. Moreno Car was also remarkable in the final quarter of the game finishing the game with amazing 16 saves.
Halil Jaganjac led hosts with six goals with some of his goals coming in key moments of the game. Speaking of Vardar Popovski, Cupic, Vojvodic, Moraes and Dibirov scored three goals each. Their most valuable player in this one was however goalkeeper Dejan Milosavljev finishing the match with 13 saves.
