After it was announced that Manolo Cadenas has left the head coach position at Meshkov Brest and Pavel Horak signed for THW Kiel, the Belarusian club announced the contract termination with Vid Poteko active from April 30th. Because of family reasons, Poteko has agreed on a deal with his home club Celje PL, where he played before joining Meshkov Brest. The Slovenian line player has spent last three seasons playing in SEHA – Gazprom League. In 2016/17, wearing Celje PL’s jersey he scored 27 goals in 16 appearances, while for Meshkov Brest, he recorded 31 goals in 25 appearances during 2017/18 and 2018/19. 28-year old Poteko played at two SEHA Final 4 tournaments, in Skopje 2018 and Brest 2019, winning a bronze medal this season.
