Sad and heartbreaking news has spread in the handball world as Ada Konstantinovna Meshkova passed away on Sunday, 1st of September 2019 from an illness she has been fighting for a long time. 

Handball club Meshkov Brest was proudly named after her husband, and she was considered as the mother of the club. Ada witnessed the beginning and rising of handball in Brest. She deeply cared for the players as well as their families and she always tried to help everyone.

Ada supported SEHA, and had been involved in SEHA - Gazprom League from the early days. She was a beloved part of the SEHA family and handball world.

To honour Ada, there will be a minute long silence before the start of each match of the 1st round in SEHA - Gazprom League.

Ada Konstantinovna will be deeply missed by handball in Brest, and the world will not be the same without her. May her soul rest in peace!
