List of participants for the season 2021/22 confirmed
The line-up of the teams for the 11th SEHA – Gazprom League season has been confirmed after the SEHA Executive Committee met end of last week. In the 2021/22 season, the SEHA – Gazprom League will gather ten participants from seven different countries.
In comparison to previous season, one change has been made in the list of participants, as now the League will welcome HC Partizan from Belgrade instead of HC Metaloplastika Sabac, due to the ranking in the Serbian domestic championship at the end of season 2020/21.

The playing system will be the same as in the previous season, meaning the ten teams will be divided into two groups, A and B, same as in the season 2020/21, playing the group phase, play-offs, and quarter-finals, with the four best ranked teams reaching the SEHA – Gazprom League Final 4.
The SEHA Executive Committe has decided, after the conducted analysis and due to occasions occurred by global pandemic Covid-19, along with correlation of European calendar issues and performance ranking, that two clubs, HC Telekom Veszprem (2020/21 champions) and HC Meshkov Brest (Covid-19 issues) will be directly included in the quarter-finals and will not play in the group phase.
After the group phase, first and second placed teams will secure their places in the quarter–finals along with HC Telekom Veszprem and HC Meshkov Brest who have qualified directly for quarter–finals.

In total, 40 matches are foreseen in the season, with 24 of them played in the group phase, four (4) in the play-offs, eight (8) in the quarter-finals and four (4) at the SEHA – Gazprom League Final 4.
