Nexe secure their first-ever EHF Finals Men spot
Croatian runners-up have on Tuesday evening in Denmark managed to once again prove everyone how good they are looking this season, securing what will be their first ever EHF Finals Men appearance. Draw in Gudme was more than enough for coach Tamse and his guys after the tremendous display a week ago in Nasice and that key 32:27 win.
Match in Denmark was as hard as expected, but in the end, Nexe managed to leave Gudme unbeaten (37:37). Offensively they were once again flying on the wings of one of the deadliest scorers in the competition Halil Jaganjac who finished the match with 12 goals. Experienced Serbian international Predrag Vejin added seven while Croatian national team winger Marin Jelinic scored six. Mihailo Radovanovic and Dominik Kuzmanovic combined for 16 saves.
Teams that will join SEHA – Gazprom League representatives from Slavonia in EHF European League are German Magdeburg (second win against Nantes, this time 30:28), Wisla Plock (decisive home win over Kadetten 35:22) and Benfica (27:27 after the seven-goal win in the first leg).
EHF Finals Men 2022 is scheduled for the last weekend in May (28 – 29 May).
