PPD Zagreb confident in Novi Sad
PPD Zagreb siguran u Novom Sadu
Multiple Croatian champions have for fourth time in last two seasons managed to beat Vojvodina. In a match with many ups and downs they have managed to reach a clear win which keeps them on Veszprem's track, among SEHA GSS League's top.
Zagreb were leading through the whole match with Vojvodina constantly doing their best to catch them and turn the match over. Main source of guest team's problems in the second half was Datukashvili with 5 goals and Elezobvić with 6 as well as unstoppable Nikolić with 7 goals from 7 attemps in the whole match. Guests have, however, with their 'longer' bench managed to keep the difference and reach important three points. Obranović has opened the match with 3 goals, Josip Valčić closed it with 3 goals as well, Stepančić scored 5, Vuglač also 3. Zagreb's newest reinforcement Čelica has played a quality match too with 3 goals, Mandalinić scored after a seven month break and Mihić and Horvat were ustoppable combining with 7 goals from as much attempts.
Veselin Vujović, PPD Zagreb' coach:
- I'd like to congratulate Vojvodina on reaching EHF Cup's group stage. In the first half we were not concentrated enough but in the second we've managed to be more focused and make the difference. Thing about my team which makes me happy is their good performance in moments when Vojvodina's players were having a big run trying to catch us in the second half.
Đorđe Ćirković, Vojvodina's coach:
- I'd like to congratulate Zagreb on a win, that's all from me.
