Are NEXE's players ready for another surprise?
Je li NEXE spreman za novo iznenađenje?
NEXE will on Wednesday (19:00 CET) in Gradski vrt hall in Osijek host current title holders Vardar. Last season Kordi's players have managed to make a big surprise and beat Vardar (32:25) after which Vardar had become champions in Novi Sad. Is it possible for NEXE to create another suprise? In their last match against Meshkov they were playing really good but lost showing really good form. Vardar are on the other side coming to Croatia with a series of 4 wins behind them and they will surely do their best to keep the streak alive.
Zdenko Kordi, NEXE's coach:
Vardar are one of the best European's team, composition with a excellent players and huge ambitions. Vardar are also a spectator magnet and I hope people will tomorrow see a good match. For us it is a new chance to continue with our development.
Josip Bozić-Pavletić, NEXE's player:
Vardar are a top team in SEHA GSS League, but also one of the best in CL. However, we will certeainly not surrender. This is our last match this year and it would be great to finish the year with a victory.
Raul Gonzales, Vardar's coach:
It is important to finish this year with a win. We have several injured players in our team, but it is not a reason to miss three points in our next game. NEXE have talented and young players, which have potential and quality, and we mustn't underestimate them. Last season we've lost a game there, which is an alert for us to give our best and hopefully finish the year with 3 new points.
Gradimir Chanevski, Vardar's player:
This is a very important game for our team, because a win would keep us secured on the second place before the winter break and bring us step closer to our goal - F4. We will miss some injured players, but we have to give our best, because we are favorites against them. We have to show we have quality, go there and win!
