Prešov will on Thursday host battle for SEHA GSS League's third place with Slovak champions Tatran welcoming Belarus champions Meshkov. Interesting fact is that both of these teams have in their last appearance in the League managed to beat probably their biggest opponent in race for SEHA GSS Final Four - PPD Zagreb. In a narrow match 5 days ago Tatran were in Prešov better than Croatian champions with 24:23 and Meshkov have managed to repeat Tatran's success on Tuesday winning in a tough match with 24:21. Peter David's team has had more time to rest and prepare for their final match before the winter break but Meshkov have in their last match showed excellent form giving Tatran a lot to worry about. However, fans in Tatran handball Arena will on Thursday (18:00 local time) surely witness an excellent encounter between two great teams.

Peter David, Tatran's coach:

We are going to play against winners of yesterday’s match (PPD Zagreb vs Meshkov Brest). We believe that Meshkov are coming to Prešov quite confident after a few wins in a row on road and they surely want three new points in order to get closer to Final Four. We, on the other side, still have that loss which has taken the CL this season away from us in Brest on our minds and it would be great to take revenge!

Viacheslav Sadovyi, Tatran's player:

We are looking forward to our last match before the winter break. We expect a tough match, especially after Meshkov's good performance in a win against Zagreb. We will do our best to do exactly what our coach tells us to, win this match and join Meshkov and PPD Zagreb on League's table with 24 points.  

Željko Babić, Meshkov's coach:

This will be our fifth match on road and obviously we're tired. We will also miss some of our most important players like Manojlović and Nikulenkau which makes this match way harder for us. We remeber how hard for us it was back in September in Brest and we're aware they rarely lose at home. This will be a really difficult match.

It will be very hard but we want a win. Tatran, just like us, wish to catch League's Final Four  and that's an additional reason why this will be a tough, narrow match.
