Tatran's big 8:0 series decides the match in Prešov
Tatran from Prešov are confidently marching towards SEHA GSS League's Final Four. They have in their latest encounter managed to beat Macedonian champions Metalurg with 31:22 (20:19). Tatran's 8:0 series from the beginning of the first half was decisive, there simply was no way for Macedonians to return back 'into the match' after it. Interesting is that metalurg have amanged to score only 3 goals in the second half. Krok and Antl were unstoppable scoring 17 goals combined. Vugrinec was on the other side Metalurg's MVP with 9 goals.
In the next round Metalurg will host Vojvodina and Tatran will play Borac in Banja Luka.
Peter David, Tatran's coach:
It was a really hard game and the score result does not correspondent with this game. Until 45th minute of this match it was really tied. From the beginning we were anxious and we wanted to take the lead from the opening moments of the match. Later on we had to be patient and I am glad we've managed to do it. At the end we have turned the score of this match and have confidently managed to reach 3 new points.
Andrej Petro, Tatran's player:
This was in my opinon good, high quality match. Thanks to Metalurg for correct and high quality match. I am glad we could return to them our loss from Skopje. We were physically better prepared and in the last 15 minutes we were enjoying with such a big goal difference on our side.
Lino Červar, Metalurg's coach:
I would like to give a compliment to home team Tatran Prešov. Considering my team I have to say we have played with a rejuvenated team and we're doing our best to get back to our old winning rhytm. We have played well through the whole first half and 15 minutes into the second but unfortunatelly that was it from us for today. Tatran has too many high quality players and the result was this big goal difference in the end. I am glad our younger players are gaining experience playing in such a good League.
Marko Neloski, Metalurg's player:
We were able to keep up with hosts for 45 minutes. We are still a young team we have to gain lot more experience to be able to win tough matches like this.
