Two SEHA GSS champions in Gradski vrt
Dva SEHA GSS prvaka u Gradskom vrtu
Osijek will tomorrow be SEHA GSS League's capital hosting two great matches. By the one in which NEXE will play Hungarian Veszprem, PPD Zagreb will later on host current champions Macedonian Vardar. Zagreb are, although Vardar are favorites especially after 32:29 win in the first part of the season, looking for a win which would get in a better position in TOP position race against Tatran and Meshkov. There will be two keys into the game, injuries and physical prepareness of both of their players which were playing for their national teams on WCh in Qatar. Vardar have opened the second part of the season with a win over Meshkov and this will on the other side be Zagreb's first SEHA GSS clash in 2015.
Veselin Vujović, PPD Zagreb's coach
- We won't be able to count on injured Domagoj pavlović and Ilija Brozović and on Josip Valić who is under suspension. We are not looking for an alibi but it is clear we'll miss some of our most important players. It is also a big question if Stipe Mandalinić will play in Osijek due to problems with his knee. We're however traveling to Osijek to play a good match and do everything to beat Vardar. I can't say anything but good about them. They are a team with a goal to reach European top in a few years.
Zlatko Horvat, PPD Zagreb's player:
- Ivić, Stepančić, Brozović and I have had only one day to rest after WCh. That says much of how big our will to beat Vardar is. This will also be an important match for us in order to see where we stand ahead of an important clash in CL against la Rioja in about two weeks.
Raul Gonzales, Vardar's coach:
- After the first match against Brest we are traveling to zagreb. We are currenly second and in order to stay there we'll have to win. Zagreb are a good team with a good coach playing aggressive at home, especially in the first half. We expect 5-1 defence which will be a good thing for us to see how we'll react on it, especially because our next CL's opponents Montpellier will probably play it too.
Nemanja Pribak, Vardar's player:
- We have to be honest and say we're not in the perfect shape which is normal considering the fact that WCh is after us. Many Vardar's players were playing important roles in Qatar. We do not have much time to catch good form but we'll try. Zagreb are always a tough opponent and it is great to play against them. However I expect us to reach 3 new points.
