Antonio Carlos Ortega, MKB Veszprem coach:
We began the match well, had good defense, forced our opponent to shoot from far positions and Mirko was saving amazingly. Level of our defense went down a bit later on into the match. We’ve changed to 5-1 defense in order to be able to have many steals and decide the match in its early phase. Good preparation match for Sunday’s clash in CL. We need only one more point in order to finish the group on a first place.
Mirko Alilović, MKB MVM Veszprem goalkeeper:
It is difficult to play a match when you are such a favorites, it is hard to find motivation but we’ve managed to find it today. I congratulate to our opponents on a fair match and of course to my teammates on a great defense today.
Igor Rađenović, Borac’ coach:
First of all I would like to congratulate Veszprém on a victory. We’ve known we’re going to face a tough match. We came here to see where we stand against such a strong team. Home team was able to control the game from the first minute. What I am really sorry about is that we’ve missed five 7-meter shots.
Milan Đukić, Borac’ right wing:
I want to thank Veszprém for this match. It was a great feeling to play here. We have a young team which is not capable of playing on such a high level for 60 minutes. I wish Veszprem all the best in the Champions League.
