Vardar – MKB MVM Veszprem derby for prestige
Дербито Вардар – Веспрем ќе биде само меч за престиж
Vardar and MKB MVM Veszprem will tomorrow play their last game of the regular season in SEHA GSS League, a real show for all handball fans.
This is a game without pressure and will bring many duels, attractive moves and great goals. Vardar will enter SEHA F4 from second position, and MKB MVM Veszprem is the only team this season without lost point. That is a challenge for Vardar’s players, as they want to be the first team this season in SEHA which would manage to take points from Hungarian champion.
Vardar's coach Raul Gonzalez announced that the squad will be known after the last training with Toskić and Abutović surely missing the match due to their injuries. Rastvorcev and Chipurin also have minor problems.
This season in all three matches between Vardar and MKB MVM Veszprem, Hungarian champions were able to leave court as winners, twice in the group stage of EHF Champions League and once in the SEHA GSS League. Now Vardar sees the chance for revenge.
Instead of training before playing against Vardar, MKB MVM Veszprem have decided to play a friendly against Tinex Prolet, team from Skopje which they have good relations with.
Raul Gonzalez, Vardar’s coach
The game against Veszprem, regarding our position is not very important. With a win in Prešov we’ve secured second position. At the same time, Veszprem are positioned first and will surely stay there which means we can play little bit relaxed in terms of the result and we will give a chance to players that are usually not playing so much. We have some players who must recover for the knock out stage in Champions League and we don’t want to take any risk. At the moment we don’t know the full roster because of some injures, but of course we will play to win.
Stojanče Stoilov, Vardar’s player
Finally we have to play one game without pressure. But, at the same time Veszprem is a big challenge for Vardar, because we’ve already played three times this season and lost all three matches. No matter who will play, it will be an interesting game with best two teams in SEHA this season and we want to win in front of our supporters.
Carlos Ortega , MKB-MVM Veszprem’s coach
This will again be an interesting match, first against the second, the best two teams of SEHA GSS League this season. Points are not important for either of us but it is sure we’d both like to win. We will use this match to give some of our players some rest ahead of CL’s challenges. However, surely a great spectacle for fans.
Momir Ilić, MKB-MVM Veszprem’s player
This will be the last match before the Final Four of SEHA GSS league. We’re already first, but we will go there to fight, because every match is a good challenge for us, so we will try to bring our best and win this game. Of course Vardar are a good team and they are going to play at home in front of their fans. This will be our fourth clash this season and I hope we’ll once again manage to win.
