Gorenje win the “black-yellow“ war in Pancevo
Gorenje Velenje celebrated their fourth win in the SEHA - Gazprom League season by beating Dinamo in Pancevo 29:27 (15:12). In a very interesting match against the Serbian vice-champions, a thrilling finish ended successfully for Zeljko Babic and his players. They showed more quality and experience in the decisive moments, thanks to players like Alem Toskic and Rok Golcar.
The hosts stayed competitive from the first until the last minute of the match against a rival who had experience of playing in the VELUX EHF Champions League. The last lead for Dinamo was in the 19th minute, when Petar Zujovic scored for 8:7.
Since then, the visitors were in lead, but Ivan Petkovic's team was close, especially in 38th minute when Bunjevcevic cut the lead down to one- 16:17. Despite the pressure that the home court brings, Gorenje managed to stay in the lead until the final buzzer.
Alem Toskic and Rok Ovnicek scored goals in the most important part of the match, 58th and 59th minute to stop the motivated home squad (26:29) in their aim to end last match in 2017 with three points.
