Saracevic: ''Dinamo proved their quality but we must focus on ourselves!''
PPD Zagreb will on Friday (20.00 CET) in Sutinska vrela sports hall welcome SEHA - Gazprom League's rookies and Serbian vice-champions Dinamo Pancevo. Hosts are waiting for the match in a good mood but a bit exhausted after a tough EHF Champions League match against Rhein Neckar Löwen they won on Wednesday. However, new coach Zlatko Saracevic and his boys are aware there should be no relaxing in the match against the team from Pancevo which has already proved to be capable of delivering high-quality performances against top-class teams scoring 32 goals in their latest SEHA encounter against no one else but both European and SEHA champs Vardar. 'Lions' will have a favorite role and need this one in order to additional boost their self-confidence for 'SEHA December' which will be very hard for them and Dinamo Pancevo will on the other hand do everything they can to maybe stun favored Croats and take valuable points back home to Pancevo. Will Zagreb keep on building on or will Pancevo crown recent good performances?
Zlatko Saracevic, PPD Zagreb coach:
Ahead of this match our injury status looks pretty good despite of the fact we played a tough match against Rhein Neckar Löwen only a day ago. Despite of that we'll surely rotate the roster a bit more giving some players who don't get as much chances to show what they can like our third goalie Jovic. We are playing against a team which is living through its rookie SEHA season but they are delivering solid performances from which I'd like to highlight the one against Vardar when they scored 32 goals. However, I'm absolutely not interested in that with our performance being are one and only goal - we want to keep up the good work and have each player delivering his best at the moment. End of the year is close but we still have a lot to do.
Matej Hrstic, PPD Zagreb player:
Just like coach said we're all ready for the match. Good thing is that we have many younger players who don't find it so hard to play two matches in three days. We've already prepared well for the match which is ahead of us on Friday and we'll enter it the way we entered the last one hopefully. If we do that I don't think we'll experience any problems in securing three new points.
Ivan Petkovic, Dinamo Pancevo coach:
Zagreb was a force to be reckoned with back in former Yugoslavia which states a lot about their quality. They were a bit unlucky in Champions League this season losing a few matches they could maybe even ended up winning like the one against Nantes. It is a good mix of players of all ages - from youngsters to experienced one. However, our goal is to deliver a good performance, play at least as good as we did in Skopje and once again try to get as much as we can out of this SEHA experience. Mirkovic and Zujovic are still dealing with minor injuries but I'm sure we'll travel to Zagreb with full roster.
Miljan Bunjevcevic, Dinamo Pancevo player:
Zagreb have a great team. They did go through coaching change but I'm sure it won't affect them in a bad way. Speaking of us, we're training hard, doing everything we can to improve and the goal is to use matches like this one against Zagreb to prepare for challenges that are ahead of us in our national Play-Off.
Match will be broadcasted on Arena Sport channels, ehfTV and Sport TV (Slovenia).
