Routine win for Celje in Novi Sad
Celje PL celebrated fourth SEHA - Gazprom League win on Tuesday beating Vojvodina Novi Sad 31:26 (15:10) away from home. Tight schedule forced coach Tamse to take his team on this journey less than 48 hours before the kick-off but that did not stop favored Slovenians from dominating all 60 minutes in Slana bara sports hall giving well-motivated Serbian champs no chance.
Celje's goalie Aljaz Pantjar delivered a fantastic performance stopping 10 shots in first half only. Urban Lesjak did not suit up on Tuesday but his backup did a great job completely silencing Serbian back line led by Jovanovic and Nadoveza. Celje managed to open the gap to five a little more than 15 minutes into the first half over Daniel Dujshebaev. Trifkovic brought his team to only 3-goal difference but that was furthest they could go against highly focused Slovenian champs. In the biggest part of the second half difference was six goals with hosts eventually cutting it down to five in the end. David Razgor shined for Slovenians with 6/6, Milos Grozdanic scored as much for Vojvodina.
