Izvidjac Ljubuski are all set and ready to participate in what will be their fourth SEHA Gazprom League appearance. 'Scouts' are back after a season-long break and they will open the season against one of the strongest teams in this year's edition of SEHA League – Meshkov Brest. Belarussian champs have an extraordinary pre-season behind them where they managed to win Belgazprombank tournament they hosted as well as finish third on Europe's strongest tournament in Strasbourg after defeating Vardar and Veszprem. However, we already know everything is possible in SEHA Gazprom League – hosts will most definitely be able to count on a great atmosphere which, combined with a young roster might prove to be a good formula against Manolo Cadenas and his players. By that, Izvidjac have played a quality tournament in Doboj defeating Danish Kolding as well as Serbian champions Vojvodina. And although they did not manage to keep their roster intact compared to last season, their new coach Mario Bjelis is surely doing a good job creating a new young team for Europe to meet.

Two years ago Meshkov celebrated both in Ljubuski (+8) as well as Brest (+11). Any improvement would be a great thing for Izvidjac in the beginning of the season.

Match is scheduled for Wednesday (19.00 CET) and will be broadcasted on Arena Sport channels, Sportklub Polska (Poland) as well as BLR TV (Belarus).

We know SEHA is a very strong league and that we’ll play some really good teams. It definitely won’t be easy to play Meshkov on Wednesday but we’re preparing best we can in order to deliver a solid performance in front of our fans.

Josip Cutura, Izvidjac player:

We went through many roster changes compared to last season but I feel like we’re ready and we can’t wait for SEHA League to start. Goal is to give our best of course and see what it brings us.

Andrey Mochalov, Meshkov Brest coach:

Tough match is ahead of, especially considering the fact that some players returning from Strasbourg will join us on our way to Ljubuski in Warsaw. We’ve spent the last week in Malorita training camp preparing for Izvidjac. They’ll have a slight advantage playing in front of their fans but our goal is to reach first three points of course. Apart from that we’ll try to gain as much experience from this match and of course deliver the best possible outing.

We are well prepared for the start of the season. I believe we have what it takes to play a good match in Ljubuski with many of our players having SEHA experience already. We have to believe in ourselves and play our best each time we step out there. That’s the winning formula in my opinion.
