Vojvodina say goodbye to 2018 victoriously
In another tough and narrow match between two opponents, Vojvodina managed to keep their calm and focus finishing 2018 victoriously – with a 28:25 (15:12) victory over Romanian Steaua Bucuresti.
Despite of the fact they arrived to Novi Sad with only a 12-man roster and with an extremely tough schedule behind them, Steaua were able to stay close all the way until final two minutes of the game when Dusko Celica took responsibility scoring from the seven-meter line and finally sealing the deal for his team in this one. Krsto Milosevic later failed to bring Steaua closer once again with Jovica Nikolic scoring Vojvodina’s last SEHA goal in 2018.
Milos Grozdanic proved why he’s front-runner in the scoring title race netting eight in the first half only. He added one more in the second bringing him to a grand total of nine in this one and 86 after 13 rounds of the competition. Dusko Celica added six for hosts while Bojan Perovic grabbed 12 saves. Krsto Milosevic finished the match with seven for Steaua.
Serbian champions have this way managed to overtake sixth position as they currently have 16 points – one more than Steaua Bucharest.
