Perfect SEHA premier for Dinamo Pancevo
Serbian vice-champions Dinamo Pancevo have managed to start their rookie SEHA season in an amazing way beating domestic rivals Vojvodina in Novi Sad 29:24 (16:16).
Team from Pancevo demonstrated that all the inexperience can be compensated with great fighting spirit and smart play running. Win most certainly works also as a self-confidence booster ahead of EHF Cup Round 1 matches in Portugal against Benfica.
Both teams were playing good in the first half with left back Petar Zujovic leading the way finishing the match with 6 goals and 7 assists and helping guests sail off to 11:8 in the middle of the first half after which experienced back-court duo Nenad Vukovic and Bozidar Nadoveza closed the gap at 16. From that moment on it was quite clear Dinamo were ready to take full bags from Slana bara, especially after winger Pavle Banduka netted one for +4 with a bit more than 15 minutes left on the clock. Vojvodina’s bench tried to put in work and reduce the gap once again but there was simply not much they could today do against inspired ’yellow-black’ rivals.
Guests from Pancevo were in the end able to routinely close the match with their goalie Dusan Petrovic going for 13 saves, upper mentioned Zujovic finishing the match as their best scorer with 6 goals while Banduka added 5. Nadoveza and Vukasin Stojanovic scored 5 each on the other side.
