Meshkov with a strong outing in Novi Sad, Shkurinski goes off with 9 goals
Belarusian champions managed to remain on the winning road reaching a new SEHA Gazprom triumph defeating Vojvodina in Novi Sad with 36:27 (17:9). This was ninth match between Belarusian and Serbian team and ninth win for Meshkov. Hosts proved to be on the rising path with a win over Metalurg but guests were simply too strong today - even without coach Sergey Bebeshko, Ivan Pesic and most of their domestic players like Nikulenkau, Shylovich and Rutenka who stayed in Belarus to play domestic league match against Gomel.
Hosts were able to stay close until 5:5 when Rade Mijatovic made a few big saves helping his team make a crucial 6:1 series deciding the match in its early phase as the difference just kept on rising all the way until the final whistle. Vojvodina were not capable of stopping Meshkov’ offensive line today which was led by Alexander Shkurinskiy and his 9 goals along with Igropulo who added 6 and Djordjic who netter 5. Speaking of the team from Novi Sad, Milos Grozdanic led them today with 6.
