Mrakovcic: “We knew it won't be easy“
PPD Zagreb - Vojvodina 25:23 (13:12)
(Horvat 8, Bicanic 5 / Grozdanic 6, Vucicevic 6)
Davor Rokavec, PPD Zagreb coach:
We were well-aware we're up to a tough one against Vojvodina today. We're also dealing with some health issues at the moment and we've played six matches in only three days but that's not important right now. What matters the most is that we've despite of everything managed to reach three new points. Congratulations to my players on everything they did here today. Tough, narrow match in the end.
Luka Mrakovcic, PPD Zagreb player:
We knew it won't be easy, especially because we returned from Ljubuski just yesterday but what matters the most is that we've managed to reach three new points in the end which is what we came here to do today.
Boris Rojevic, Vojvodina coach:
We're dealing with a lot injuries lately but we've once again managed to play above our realistic capabilities. I believe we could have at least reach a point here today but in the end we have what we have. We still to have to play Steaua at home and we'll definitely look to win that one and finish the year on a high note.
Milos Grozdanic, Vojvodina player:
We opened the match poorly allowing them to open the gap early. In case we didn't start the match that bad, the result could have been way better for us in the end but as coach said we have what we have. I 'd like to congratulate my teammates on everything they did today and now we're turning towards the match against Steaua in which we'll look to book three new points.
